Hello and welcome to my Homeopathy Practice. My name is Gina and I live in Churchtown. I qualified from the Irish School of Homeopathy in Milltown, Dublin in 2002. I also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Homeopathy and I am a registered member of the Irish Society of Homeopaths.
I first became interested in Homeopathy in my early 20’s when I was studying for my Sociology degree. A part of the course required research into the ‘efficacy of medicine’. During my research I came across Homeopathy. I was drawn to it immediately and remembered taking the small white pills as a teenager to help my hay fever. At the time I didn’t know anything about it I just knew that it stopped my sneezing and my nose from dripping without the drowsiness of the antihistamines!
I love Homeopathy because it addresses the individual and their own personal symptoms and doesn’t treat every illness in a generic fashion. As I said, I also like the no side effects and that it heals both the mental and physiological aspects of illness in a truly holistic way.
I think everyone should have the choice of using alternative ways of healing our bodies, not always as a replacement for conventional medicine but as another option as part of a fully inclusive healthcare.
I have been in practice now for over 18 years and as a mother of two it has been invaluable for the various ailments that have cropped up over the years and enabled them to avoid any antibiotics or prescriptions. I have found it to be incredible for increasing resilience in children’s health. The remedies stimulate your immune system resulting in the restoration of balance and sense of well being. This positively effects your mental and physical health resulting in a happier more relaxed life!
I am committed to further my training and continuing professional development. I also work part-time in Down to Earth health food shop on South Great Georges St., Dublin. We have a Homeopathic Dispensary where we supply Nelsons, Helios & Weleda Homeopathic products. There are qualified Homeopaths working in the shop everyday.
